The Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress, United States of America Chapter, Hon. Oyakhilome Bello has commended all the political actors and gladiators of the All Progressives Congress in Edo State for the display of purpose, unity, and determination to bring the state back to the mainstream politics.
A statement signed by the Director General of the Oyahkilome Bello Foundation said that Edo state needs to keep enjoying the quality delivery of good governance in the state which can only be possible through the quality of contestants the political parties are fielding in the forthcoming gubernatorial poll of the state in year 2024.
He said further that Edo State irrespective of political divides needs to have a credible and competent hands to saddle the affairs of the state if the state must occupy her right place in the comity of States back for the growth and development of the State.
In his words, " There is no better time we can make Edo state to work better for the people of the state than now by ensuring that the coming election campaigns and processes are devoid of political thuggery, violence and campaign of calumny but to put the interest of the state and her people first.
" This is the time we have to come together to retool the path and future of the state back to the progressive system of governance where the dividend of democracy can be delivered to the people in meeting their yearnings and agitations.
" We must all channel our energy, capacity, and vision toward ensuring that we deliver our dear state back to the progressive folds with the renewed hope agenda of Asiwaju that is gaining momentum for a better Nigeria. We can't afford to be left behind in the scheme of affairs of the nation now. We need to work together as a team and as a party with the vision to ensure we are back on track in good governance.
The humanitarian and philanthropist called for a progressive, robust, and developmental campaign manifesto amongst all the aspirants of the political parties which would make the election issues-based and more enlightened so that the electorate can make an informed choice and decision.
He further pledged that he would deploy all the legitimate arsenals within his reach to ensure that the All Progressives congress emerged victorious in the year 2024 gubernatorial election.
He added that there will be more empowerment programs to equipped the youths, artisans and other groups in the state for self-reliance as panacea to fight and curb political violence among the people in the state.
