His Excellency, Sen Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, spokesman for the South South region, Hon Pst Bill Francis Bill has lambasted DSTV for its recent price increments, describing the move as 'inhuman'.

Hon.Pastor Bill, speaking on behalf of Chief Tinubu, said: 'This latest price hike is a clear show of disregard for the welfare of Nigerians. It is inhuman and unacceptable. DSTV is exploiting the vulnerability of Nigerians and taking advantage of the country's economic situation.'

He continued: 'We urge DSTV to reconsider this decision and put the interests of Nigerians first. If they are not ready to do business in Nigeria, then they should leave the country.'

Pastor Bill's statement echoes the sentiments of many Nigerians who are struggling to make ends meet in the face of rising costs and economic uncertainty."

"It's unfortunate that DStv is increasing prices for GOtv and DStv subscriptions when many people are struggling to afford even basic needs like food. With many individuals barely able to afford three square meals a day, it seems tone-deaf for DStv to add to the financial burden of its customers

"He warns the satellite television provider to either operate in Nigeria as they do in South Africa and other countries, or leave the country altogether. He emphasizes that "injury to one is injury to all" and will not tolerate unfair practices.

Speaking on media channels such as NTA, he clearly states that DStv must adopt a pay-as-you-go model, allowing customers to only pay for the services they use. He insists that if a customer's subscription is not active, their DStv service should not be running.

His passionate plea is a call to action for DStv to reconsider their pricing and operating model in Nigeria, to make it more affordable and customer-friendly.

"Pastor Bill Francis Bill, Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu spokesman for the South-South region of Nigeria, issues a clarion call to President Tinubu, the Senate President, and all state governors, drawing their attention to the evil practices of DStv in the country. He vehemently speaks out against the exploitation of Nigerians by the satellite television provider, citing their exorbitant prices and unfair operating model.

With a sense of urgency, he appeals to the leaders to intervene and address the "evil in the land", ensuring that DStv operates with fairness, transparency, and accountability. He emphasizes that the welfare of the people is paramount and that no one should be taken advantage of.
