DATA BOYS MOVEMENT SECURES CERTIFICATE, DG EVANGELIST ABEDNEGO OKON UNVEILS STATEWIDE CAMPAIGN TO PROMOTE GOVERNOR OTU'S PEOPLE FIRST AGENDA

CALABAR, Cross River State – The Data Boys Movement has officially received its Certificate of Support, marking the commencement of a statewide advocacy and public enlightenment campaign dedicated to documenting, promoting, and defending the policies, programmes, and developmental achievements of the administration of His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu. The certificate was presented through the office of Elder Clement Asanye, Special Assistant to the Governor on Support Groups, underscoring the administration's continued engagement with grassroots support organizations. Under the leadership of its Director-General, Evangelist Abednego Okon, the Movement will operate across all 18 Local Government Areas of Cross River State, aligning its activities with the Governor's People First Agenda by ensuring that citizens receive accurate, timely, and verifiable information about government projects, policies, and interventions.

Speaking after the certification, Director-General Evangelist Abednego Okon reaffirmed the Movement's commitment to supporting the present administration through responsible, factual, and data-driven communication. He stated that the Data Boys Movement is an inclusive platform open to both men and women who are committed to truth, transparency, and responsible civic engagement. According to him, members will gather credible data, monitor ongoing government projects, engage communities, simplify government policies for grassroots understanding, and counter misinformation through verified, fact-based communication. He emphasized that the Movement's mission is to bridge the gap between government and the people while ensuring that the achievements of the Otu administration are properly documented, communicated, and appreciated across Cross River State.
























The Director-General further announced that the Data Boys Movement will immediately commence statewide sensitization tours, community engagements, project documentation, and data collection exercises in collaboration with traditional institutions, community leaders, youth groups, civil society organizations, and the media. He expressed appreciation to Elder Clement Asanye for his support and encouragement of grassroots organizations working to advance the Governor's vision. He reaffirmed the Movement's unwavering commitment to professionalism, credibility, accountability, and constructive public communication, stressing that the organization will remain a dependable partner in supporting the continued development and progress of Cross River State through factual and responsible information dissemination.
