Ambassador Pastor Bill Francis Bill, Official Undisputed, Undiluted and Unintimidated Spokesman to His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, has responded to comments made by the PDP governorship candidate, Arthur Jarvis Archibong, describing the remarks as misleading and not reflective of the realities in Cross River State. Speaking during an interview at the Government House, Calabar, the Governor's spokesman stated that Governor Otu has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to peace, democracy, and the rule of law since assuming office. He stressed that the Governor has never encouraged violence, intimidation, or the use of weapons in politics, but has continued to advocate for peaceful elections where the people's votes remain the deciding factor.
According to Ambassador Pastor Bill Francis Bill, the present administration has earned the confidence of Cross Riverians through visible achievements rather than political propaganda. He noted that under Governor Otu's People First Agenda, the state has continued to witness improvements in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, tourism, security, and economic development. He maintained that the Governor's popularity is built on performance, compassion, and responsible leadership, adding that no amount of political rhetoric can erase the impact of projects and programmes already benefiting citizens across the state.
The spokesman further described youth development as one of the administration's greatest accomplishments. He said Governor Otu has deliberately placed young people at the centre of governance through empowerment initiatives, skills acquisition programmes, entrepreneurship support, employment opportunities, grants, and other interventions designed to create a brighter future for Cross River youths. He added that the administration remains committed to expanding opportunities that promote self-reliance, innovation, and economic growth, reaffirming that investing in young people is investing in the future of Cross River State.
Ambassador Pastor Bill Francis Bill called on all C'River low budget Zero over Over Zero political to conduct their campaigns with dignity, maturity, and respect for democratic values. He urged political leaders to focus on presenting their vision and policies to the electorate while avoiding statements that could mislead the public or create unnecessary political tension.
