The Cross River State Commissioner for Power and Renewable Energy, Prince Eka Williams, has embarked on a mission to explore the hydroelectric potential of the Agborkim waterfall. This initiative aligns with the overarching goal of Sen (Prince) Bassey Otu's administration to prioritize the welfare of the people by providing a robust Generation, Transmission, and Distribution network for the state.


Prince Eka Williams has assembled a team of experts to thoroughly study and provide recommendations regarding the untapped hydroelectric potential of the Agborkim waterfall. The objective is to harness this natural resource to generate electricity for the benefit of communities in Etung, Ikom, and Boki Local Government Area.


Speaking at the Agborkim waterfall site, Commissioner Eka Williams expressed his belief in the abundant natural resources that Cross River State possesses, which could be harnessed to provide power to its residents. He emphasized that the Prince Otu-led administration is committed to going the extra mile to ensure the total restoration of power supply in the state. This is seen as  step towards realizing the "people first" mantra, ensuring that the welfare and well-being of the citizens are at the forefront of government actions.
