RT. HON. MIKE ETABA DECLARES SUSTAINABLE EMPOWERMENT SERIES IN OBUBRA/ETUNG FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY: INAUGURATES 21 WOMEN COORDINATORS, GIVES OUT GRINDING MACHINES, MOTORCYCLES AND TRICYCLES TO CUSHION THE EFFECT OF THE COST OF LIVING CRISIS IN NIGERIA

The Honourable Member representing the politically conscious people of Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba, has once again ably demonstrated to the people who elected him that he is indeed, a true representative of his constituents. He has not only kept faith with his tradition of empowering his people but he also rewarded them for their loyalty, support and solidarity before, during and after the elections that paved the way for his inauguration as a third term high ranking member of the Federal House of Representatives.
To this end, he recently held the people together in a great ceremony and distributed what is unarguably, the best way to assist his people at these very crippling period of economic recession.
Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba noted at the event that all he is after, as a political figure in the federal constituency, is to add real value to the life of his people at the grassroots and even beyond.
So far, he has not disappointed his people and he does not intend to.
These empowerment programmes has become synonymous with his tenure in the National Assembly.
Witnesses abound everywhere that he is one trusted political office holder whose words cannot be taken for granted as he strives at all times to give back to the people.
Just a few days after his re-election and swearing-in into the Federal House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Mike Etaba, reeled out his first empowerment programmes to the delight and appreciation of everybody.
That was precisely on the 12th of August, 2023. At this time, other political figures and elected representatives were still celebrating their victories at the polls. Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba has really been very exemplary in his conduct, actions and implementation of his well-thought out policies and Programmes for the people.
He has successfully trained and nurtured thousands of his constituents. He has inaugurated 21 Male Coordinators in the 21 Political Wards in the Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency, he has equally donated 375 grinding machines, 25 motorcycles and cash gifts to his Constituents in line with his People Centred Representation, among very many other areas of financial aid and infrastructural upliftment of his constituency in 2023.
Just recently on the 24th of November, 2023 Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba maintained that great tradition that he has put in place.
The very noted federal representative again embarked on another empowerment series by inaugurating 21 Female Coordinators in his Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency. He equally donated a total of 225 grinding machines, 25 brand new motorcycles and six brand new tricycles to his very excited constituents and lucky beneficiaries.
The Federal Legislator noted that he is carrying out consistent empowerment programmes and doing all in his powers to better the lives of his trusted Constituents, who have kept faith with his political journey since he threw his hat into the murky waters of politics.
On the category of persons in the frontline of beneficiaries, he said that the people at the grassroots are mostly targetted but that does not in any way, exclude those in the urban areas.
Rt.Hon. Etaba maintained that the people who voted and those who did not, are well known as there is a way of eliciting the true situation of things during the elections.
He admonished all the beneficiaries to go on and add another item to whatever they have been empowered with. He added that all the beneficiaries are known through their phone numbers and addresses, adding that they will be closely monitored to ensure compliance with the philosophy of the programme.
On why he has endeavoured to carry out so many empowerment programmes in the year 2023, he maintained that the hardship occasioned by the grave economic situation in the country has been so much and so, his intervention is needed always to free his people from want and grievous poverty.
He noted that the State and Federal Government will not disappoint the people and admonished them to be very patient with the present administration in the State, ably led by His Excellency, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, Governor of Cross River State.
He aptly called the exercise a Give Away Empowerment Programme, which he generalized as palliative care.
Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba has no doubt been a recurring figure, who truly cares for all his people, not only in times of great communal clashes but also at joyous and celebrative moments.
The future truly belongs to those who capture the essence of today and Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba will definitely be judged aright by history.
