Earlier yesterday the court of appeal sitting in the Lagos division upholds judgement in favour of the victory of His Excellency Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu on the March 2023 CRS Gubernatorial polls.
The candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Sen. Prof. Sandy Ojang Onor who was the closest rival had earlier challenged the victory at the election petition tribunal Court which favoured the APC at the end of the tunnel, upon dissatisfaction the candidate of the People's Democratic Party appeals and case was still knocked down for lack of merit earlier on Wednesday 22 November 2023.
With indications the Candidate of the People's Democratic Party has headed to the Apex court.
Recall that Prince Bassey Edet Otu had a wophing votes of 258, 619 winning 15 LGs against his closest rival Sen. Prof Sandy Ojang Onor of PDP who scored 179, 636 votes and winning only 3 LGs.
Governor Prince Otu's spokesperson Pst Bill Francis Bill advice to Sandy Onor is to shield his sword and accept defeat, as the sole essence is to ensure the wellbeing of Cross River and its citizens and Sen Sandy Onor was disqualified the Eve of the Election.
Upon amassing victory at the court of appeal the incumbent Governor seeks for collaboration from the opposition in order to bring into fruition the people's first agenda.
Sandy Onor should note, that the Supreme court will still give the same judgment in favour of Governor Prince Otu, as the Apex court would dwell on the jurisdictions of the lower court. The opposition should
stop spending money carelessly rather, they should be used to take care of PDP youths who may be jobless and homeless.
