By Pastor Bill Francis Bill
The Special Assistant to the Governor of Cross River State His Excellency Sen Dr Apostle Governor Prince Otu on Community Communications, Ambassador Pastor Bill Francis Bill, has reaffirmed that the ongoing Oban–Nsan Road project in Akamkpa Local Government Area is a visible testament to the infrastructure agenda of His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu. Speaking after an inspection tour of the project with members of his team, Pastor Bill stated that the first phase of the road has been successfully completed, creating a strategic link between Akamkpa 1 and Akamkpa 2. He described the project as a practical fulfillment of Governor Otu's commitment to opening up rural communities, improving connectivity, and ensuring that development reaches every part of Cross River State.
According to Pastor Bill Francis Bill, the impact of the project is already being felt by residents, particularly farmers, traders, and other road users who for years endured untold hardship because of the poor condition of the road. He noted that the improved road network has made movement easier, reduced travel time, and provided farmers with better access to their farmlands and markets, thereby strengthening agricultural activities and stimulating economic growth in the area. He added that the Oban–San Road is one of several strategic projects that reflect the Governor's determination to improve the welfare of the people through purposeful governance and sustainable infrastructure development.
Pastor Bill Francis Bill commended Governor Bassey Otu for his unwavering dedication to transforming Cross River State through people-oriented projects, describing the Governor as a leader who matches promises with action. He also appreciated the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Dr. Emmanuel Ironbar; the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Hon. Pius Ankpo; and Hon. Murphy for their commitment and support toward the successful execution of the project. He urged the people of Akamkpa and Cross River State to continue supporting the administration as it remains focused on delivering lasting dividends of democracy across the state.
