Ambassador Pastor Bill Francis Bill, the Official Unintimidated, Undiluted and Undisputed Spokesman to His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, Governor of Cross River State, has urged Cross Riverians to disregard what he described as "baseless, politically motivated and misleading" comments allegedly made by Gay Peterson against the Governor.
Speaking during a media interview at Government House, Calabar, Pastor Bill Francis Bill alleged that the attacks on Governor Otu were orchestrated by opposition elements determined to undermine the remarkable achievements of the present administration. He maintained that no amount of political propaganda or blackmail would distract Governor Otu from his unwavering commitment to restoring the lost glory of Cross River State and delivering the dividends of democracy to every citizen.
According to the spokesman, since assuming office on May 29, 2023, Governor Bassey Edet Otu has demonstrated exceptional leadership through the execution of people-oriented projects across the state. He said the administration has undertaken road construction and rehabilitation, improved healthcare delivery, renovated schools, strengthened human capital development, empowered youths and women, and implemented programmes aimed at improving the welfare and economic well-being of Cross Riverians. He added that while every community may not yet have benefited from every project, the administration remains committed to ensuring that no part of the state is left behind, emphasizing that "Rome was not built in a day."
Pastor Bill Francis Bill further stated that Governor Otu has continued to place the security and welfare of the people at the centre of his administration. He noted that Cross River State has remained one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria due to the Governor's proactive approach to security and collaboration with security agencies. He urged citizens to remain vigilant, reject misinformation and political distractions, and continue supporting the administration as it delivers on its mandate of building a safer, more prosperous and economically vibrant Cross River State.
