The good people of Boki Local Government Area have declared their total support for His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and His Excellency, Apostle Governor Prince Bassey Edet Otu, ahead of the 2027 general elections. The declaration followed the visit of the initiator of the Evidence Campaign Group, Hon. Edem Prince Otu, alongside members of the group, to Boki, where the youths expressed confidence in the leadership of both leaders and pledged their support for continuity, development, and people-oriented governance. The engagement further highlighted the importance of sustaining the partnership between the Federal Government and the Cross River State Government for the benefit of the people.
Speaking during the engagement on Behalf of Boki youth, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Empowerment, Hon. Ambassador Julius Kijo, commended President Tinubu and Governor Otu for their contributions to youth development, empowerment, and infrastructure across Cross River State. He emphasized that the administrations of both leaders had demonstrated a commitment to improving the lives of the people and creating opportunities for young Nigerians. He also highlighted the Boki East-West Road, describing the road project as an important development intervention for the good people of Boki, with the potential to improve connectivity, ease transportation, stimulate economic activities, and open up communities to greater opportunities.
Similarly, the initiator of the Evidence Campaign Group, Hon. Edem Prince Otu, stated that Cross River State has much to benefit from the policies, programmes, and development agenda of President Tinubu’s administration. He particularly drew attention to the Coastal Highway project delivered under President Tinubu’s administration, describing it as a major infrastructure initiative with significant potential to improve regional connectivity, facilitate trade, and strengthen economic opportunities for Cross Riverians. He maintained that the combination of federal infrastructure investments and the state government’s development efforts provides a strong reason for the people to support both administrations.
Hon. Edem Prince Otu further encouraged the people of Boki and Cross River State at large to look beyond political sentiments and assess leadership through development initiatives, infrastructure delivery, youth empowerment, and the tangible benefits reaching communities. He reaffirmed the Evidence Campaign Group’s commitment to taking the message of development, accountability, and evidence-based political advocacy to every corner of the state, while encouraging peaceful participation and informed decision-making ahead of the 2027 elections.
The enthusiastic declaration by the youths of Boki represents a significant expression of political support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Prince Bassey Edet Otu.
