HON,MINISTER,DR BETTA EDU DAY 2 REVIEW AT UNGA 2023


President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made his first powerful outing at the United Nations General Assembly where he delivered his speech to the 78th United Nations General Assembly in New York. He was accompanied by The Honorable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Dr Betta Edu alongside Nigeria Delegation to #UNGA78.


The President and Chairman of ECOWAS who spoke at the UN General Debate attended to key national matters and concerns of Africa as a Continent.


He equally urged established economies to furnish more public and private sector investment in Africa's preferred climate change projects and industries as well as poverty alleviation. 



President Bola Ahmed Tinubu called the World Leaders attention to Nigeria's eagerness for business, likewise challenged the willingness of the world to engage in mutually beneficial economic partnerships with Africa, enclosing direct investments, export opportunities, and debt relief.


The President spoke of the significance of building political conformity around climate change by emphasizing on actions that will benefit both the economy and the environment, such as local water management and irrigation projects.


He ended his Debate session with a strategic assertion that Africa is not a continent to be avoided or pitied but that Africa is the key to the world’s future.



The First Lady of Nigeria, Sen Oluremi Tinubu, The Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, Governor of AkwaIbom Umo Eno, Hon minister for foreign Affairs AMB Tuggar, Hon Minister of Mineral Resource Dr Dele Alake, Hon Minister of information and National Orientation of Nigeria Mohammed Idris Malagi, Honorable Minister of State for police Affairs Hon. Imaan Suleman among others were part of President Tinubu Envoy to the UN General Assembly General Debate.


The Minister For Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation also attended the Grammy Humanitarian award where she advocated for global support to humanitarian crises in Africa and Nigeria in particular. Present was the President of Grammy Award globally and the Chairman of Grammy Delegation.
