SCRAP METAL REGULATORY AGENCY RESUME ACTIVITIES & OPERATION

Following the lift of ban on the activities of Scrap Metal operation in Cross River State, & the subsequent appointment of members into the Agency. 

In order for a smooth transition, the Scrap Metal Regulatory Agency led by her DG- Capt.Joseph Offiong(Rt) paid a Courtney call on the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Cross River State, Hon.Emmanuel Ironbar,to formalise & inform him of the Agency resumption of duties,& to also assure him of the ability of members to fulfil His Excellency mandate.

Similarly, The DG,Capt.Joseph Offiong led members of the Agency to on the Spot assessment & verification of all Scrap Metal sites in Calabar South & Calabar Municipality to ascertain the number of operators & their operations. 

The Agency reiterated Government position on ensuring that all Scrap Metal operators are duly registered, license ,obtain valid form of identification  & seek approval their operations with the Agency.
