On Tuesday, 12/12/23, a highly entertaining match between Team Exco and Team Assembly took place at the UJ Esuene Sports Stadium.
According to the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon Peter Odey who spoke with the Press shortly after the end of the match, the Festival Novelty Football Tournament was an indication that all arms of government and the party were working together for the
good of Cross River State. Hon. Odey had earlier on stated that another importance of the physical exercise was to emphasize the need for both mental and physical health.
Yesterday's finals which ended 0-2 in favor of Team Assembly, was the climax of the competition between members of the Executive Council, the All Progressives Congress, Civil Servants in the State and Members of the Cross River State House of Assembly.
