By Pastor Bill Francis Bill

The Cross River State Commissioner for Information, Hon. Erasmus Ekpang, has praised the administration of Governor Bassey Otu for what he described as three years of impactful governance and people-oriented leadership. Speaking during an interview on FAD FM Calabar, the Commissioner stated that the governor has remained focused on delivering meaningful development projects that have positively affected the lives of Cross Riverians across the state.

According to him, the administration has recorded remarkable achievements in infrastructure development, particularly in the construction and rehabilitation of roads across the three senatorial districts. He noted that these projects have improved transportation, enhanced economic activities, and opened up several communities for growth and investment.

Hon. Ekpang also highlighted the governor's commitment to improving healthcare delivery, stressing that medical specialists and experts from outside the country have been brought in to provide quality treatment and healthcare services to Cross River citizens. He described the initiative as a major step toward ensuring that residents have access to world-class medical care without unnecessary hardship.

The Commissioner further commended Governor Otu for creating employment opportunities across the 18 local government areas of the state and empowering youths through agricultural programmes, skills development initiatives, and financial support schemes. He noted that thousands of young people and families have benefited from various empowerment programmes, including cash grants and agricultural interventions, thereby promoting economic growth, reducing unemployment, and improving the standard of living of the people.
