From the Desk of Honourable Dr. Betta Edu, Senior Chief Unchallenged and Distinguished Advocate, Ambassador Pastor Bill Francis Bill, is pleased to announce that Honourable Dr. Betta Edu, Director of Women Mobilisation, APC Presidential Campaign Council, has congratulated the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency Distinguished Senator Oluremi Sir Adekunle Tinubu, CON, on her conferment with two prestigious traditional titles — Oso Di Eme 1 of Imo State and Ugoeze of Anambra State. Dr. Edu described the honours as a well-deserved recognition of the First Lady’s remarkable contributions to national development, social intervention and the welfare of vulnerable Nigerians. She noted that Oso Di Eme, meaning “She who supports her husband,” aptly reflects Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s role as a supportive partner to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the service of the nation. As the President continues to serve the country and advance the Renewed Hope Agenda, the First Lady has equally remained committed to supporting the administration through her various social intervention programmes. Every man will pray for a wife like Senator Oluremi Tinubu!
Dr. Betta Edu further congratulated the First Lady on her conferment with the Ugoeze of Anambra State title by HRM Igwe Chidubem Iweka, in recognition of her contributions to national development, grassroots initiatives and the welfare of Nigerians. She noted that the First Lady’s visit to Anambra was marked by impactful activities, including the flag-off of the National Community Food Bank Programme, aimed at tackling child malnutrition and supporting vulnerable families across the South-East. At the Federal Polytechnic Oko, Senator Oluremi Tinubu also inaugurated the RHI/TETFUND ICT Experience Centre and encouraged students to embrace technology responsibly while exploring emerging opportunities, including artificial intelligence. She further flagged off the distribution of empowerment items to 5,000 beneficiaries, with each beneficiary receiving a ₦100,000 financial grant from the Anambra State Government.
Honourable Dr. Betta Edu commended the governments, people and traditional institutions of Imo and Anambra States for honouring the First Lady, describing the two chieftaincy titles as a reward for visible impact, compassion, service and commitment to the development and welfare of Nigerians. She said the honours demonstrate that Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s contributions are being recognised beyond political and geographical boundaries. She prayed for continued wisdom, strength, sound health and divine guidance for the First Lady as she continues to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and contribute to the realisation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
