Hon. Sir Francis Peters, Director of the Cross River State Board of Internal Revenue, has called on all Cross Riverians to take the necessary steps to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 general elections. He emphasized that the PVC remains an essential instrument for democratic participation, enabling eligible citizens to exercise their constitutional right to vote and contribute meaningfully to determining the political future of the state and the nation.
Speaking during an interview with the media, Sir Francis Peters encouraged Cross Riverians to take voter registration and PVC collection seriously rather than wait until the election period approaches. He stressed that every eligible voter should be prepared to vote according to their conscience and make informed decisions at the ballot box. According to him, securing one’s PVC ahead of time will help citizens avoid unnecessary disappointment and ensure they have the opportunity to make their voices heard in 2027.
