Pastor Bill Francis Bill, it is with great pleasure and renewed confidence that the Evidence Campaign Group announces the appointment of Hon. Ikpembe, former aspirant for Calabar Municipal Council, as the Coordinator of the Evidence Campaign Group in Calabar Municipality. The appointment was made by the undiluted and undisputed initiator of the Evidence Campaign Group, Hon. Edem Bassey Otu, in recognition of Hon. Ikpembe’s experience, grassroots connection, commitment and capacity to provide effective leadership within Calabar Municipality. The appointment marks another important step toward strengthening the Evidence Campaign Group’s structure, expanding its grassroots presence and ensuring that its activities are effectively coordinated across the municipality.
Speaking during an interview with members of the media at Government House, Ambassador Hon. Pastor Bill Francis Bill described the appointment as a significant opportunity for Hon. Ikpembe to demonstrate his leadership qualities, organisational ability and commitment to the collective vision of the Evidence Campaign Group. He stated that the confidence reposed in Hon. Ikpembe comes with a great responsibility to unite members, engage community stakeholders and build a strong, effective and inclusive grassroots structure throughout Calabar Municipality. Pastor Bill further emphasised the importance of working closely with youths, women, community leaders, stakeholders and members of the Evidence Campaign Group, while maintaining unity, discipline, effective communication and purposeful engagement as the organisation continues to expand its reach.
Ambassador Pastor Bill Francis Bill expressed confidence that Hon. Ikpembe will rise to the occasion and pilot the affairs of the Evidence Campaign Group in Calabar Municipality with dedication, humility and a strong sense of responsibility. He charged the newly appointed coordinator to see the position as a call to service and an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the growth of the organisation, stressing the importance of grassroots mobilisation, consultation, teamwork and inclusiveness as activities ahead of the 2027 elections continue to develop. He congratulated Hon. Ikpembe on the appointment and encouraged him to justify the confidence placed in him by the initiator of the Evidence Campaign Group, Hon. Edem Bassey Otu, by working diligently with all stakeholders and members to strengthen the group’s presence and coordination across Calabar Municipality and beyond.
