The Official Unintimidated, Undisputed, and Undiluted Spokesman to His Excellency, Senator Dr. Governor Prince Bassey Edet Otu, Governor of Cross River State, Ambassador Pastor Bill Francis Bill, has expressed delight and congratulated the Governor following the acquisition of an additional aircraft. According to the Governor’s spokesman, the aircraft has been named in honour of Her Excellency, Dr. Linda Ayade, CON, wife of former Cross River State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Professor Benedict Benjoushuye Ayade, KSJI, CON. He described the gesture as a reflection of Governor Otu’s unwavering commitment to continuity, mutual respect, and appreciation for individuals who have made remarkable contributions to the growth and development of Cross River State.
It was further stated that with the addition of this aircraft, the total number of aircraft now acquired stands at three, and when combined with the two previously acquired during the tenure of former Governor Ayade, the State now has a total of five aircraft. According to the statement, this development is expected to ease mobility and ensure that Cross Riverians will no longer experience the travel challenges previously encountered when moving to other states due to limited aviation resources. It was also noted that this advancement marks a significant improvement in transportation capacity within the State.
Speaking during an interview at the Government House, Calabar, Ambassador Pastor Bill Francis Bill stated that Governor Bassey Otu’s vision and mission have always been guided by the principles of people-oriented leadership, inclusiveness, and sustainable development. He noted that the Governor has consistently demonstrated a deep sense of responsibility towards the people of the state while maintaining cordial relationships with his predecessors and preserving the legacies of previous administrations in the overall interest of Cross River State.
Ambassador Pastor Bill Francis Bill further described Governor Bassey Otu as one of the most coordinated, peaceful, and visionary leaders in the history of Cross River State. According to him, the Governor is a firm believer in unity, peace, and harmonious coexistence and has continued to provide purposeful leadership anchored on transparency, accountability, and the delivery of democratic dividends to the people. He added that Governor Otu’s administration remains committed to fostering an atmosphere of peace and stability necessary for the continued growth and prosperity of the state.
The Governor’s Official Spokesman reaffirmed that His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, remains resolute in his determination to move Cross River State to greater heights through strategic leadership and policies that place the welfare of the people above every other consideration.
