HON. ABEDNEGO OKON HAILS GOVERNOR OTU’S STEADFASTNESS IN SECURING CROSS RIVER’S OIL PRODUCING STATUS

a Local Government Area, Eld. Orbon Abednego Okon, has commended His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, Governor of Cross River State, for his unwavering commitment and diplomatic efforts toward securing recognition and accreditation for Cross River State as an oil producing state.


In a statement issued on Tuesday, Eld. Okon described the Governor’s efforts as visionary, strategic, and people-centered.


He said:  

This milestone is a testament to His Excellency’s steadfastness, political will, and belief in the 'People First' agenda. Securing Cross River’s rightful place as an oil producing state is not just about revenue  it is about jobs, infrastructure, and hope for our coastal and riverine communities.


The Works Supervisor noted that the recognition will open new doors for infrastructural development, youth empowerment, and economic growth across the state, especially in LGA’s like Akamkpa that share in the oil-producing narrative.


Governor Otu has shown that purposeful leadership delivers results. By pursuing this cause with courage and consistency, he has restored dignity and renewed confidence in Cross River’s economic future,he added.


Eld. Okon, who is also the National President of the Data Boys Movement for Prince Otu, pledged the continued support of Akamkpa LGA and the movement to the Governor’s development agenda.


He called on Cross Riverians to rally behind the Governor as the state positions itself to maximize the benefits of the new status for the good of all citizens.


This is a victory for all of us. Cross River is rising again,he concluded.
