BY PASTOR BILL FRANCIS BILL
From the Desk of Ambassador Pastor Bill Francis Bill, Leading Senior Chief Media Consultant, Evidence Campaign Group: I am pleased to announce that the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Cross River State, Hon. Loyalty Emmanuel Ironbar, has received the leadership of the Evidence Campaign Group during a solidarity visit in Calabar ahead of the group’s planned September 19, 2026 solidarity walk. The meeting provided an opportunity for the group to formally present its vision, structure and mobilisation plans as it continues its efforts to engage young people across Cross River State.
The delegation, led by the Initiator of the Evidence Campaign Group, Mr. Edem Bassey, included members of the group’s leadership and mobilisation team. The Director General, Mr. Eyoma Bassey, presented the group’s youth-focused vision and explained its ambition to establish a presence across the 196 political wards of the state. He also briefed the Chief of Staff on the proposed solidarity walk and formally identified Hon. Ironbar as the Chief Host of the Calabar event.
Speaking during the engagement, the leadership of the Evidence Campaign Group expressed appreciation to Hon. Loyalty Emmanuel Ironbar for his encouragement of youth participation and public engagement. The group explained that its activities are designed to create a wider platform for young Cross Riverians to participate in political and community affairs while building organised structures across the state.
In his response, Hon. Loyalty Emmanuel Ironbar welcomed the delegation and encouraged the group to remain disciplined, organised and inclusive as it expands its reach. He expressed his willingness to support the group within his capacity through his time, resources and contacts, while stressing the importance of meaningful youth participation in the political process.
The engagement has added momentum to preparations for the Evidence Campaign Group’s September 19 solidarity walk, which is expected to bring together young participants from different parts of Cross River State under the theme, “WE DEY WORK, E DEY SHOW.” The group says the event forms part of its broader mobilisation and political-engagement activities. From the Evidence Campaign Group, the message remains clear: NO NOISE, JUST PROOF.
