Ambassador Pastor Bill Francis Bill, the Undisputed, Undiluted, and Uninterrupted Official Spokesman to His Excellency, His Excellency, Apostle Governor Prince Bassey Otu, has praised the Governor for once again demonstrating exceptional leadership by ensuring the prompt payment of June salaries on June 26 despite being on an official engagement in London. According to him, Governor Otu has continued to prove that distance is never a barrier to effective governance Cross River State, as the welfare of Cross River workers remains a top priority wherever he is. Pastor Bill Francis Bill further stated that, in his view, Governor Otu has maintained a consistent record of prioritizing workers’ welfare since taking office on May 29, 2023. He explained that whenever isolated cases of unpaid salaries arise, they are usually connected to payroll verification, documentation, or administrative issues requiring correction or Corruption, rather than a deliberate refusal by the government to pay workers. He emphasized that the Governor has consistently directed the appropriate authorities to resolve genuine complaints promptly so that no eligible worker is unfairly denied his or her salary.
The Governor’s official spokesman also commended Governor Otu for combining prompt salary payments with the execution of impactful developmental projects across the state. According to him, while others engage in political distractions, Governor Otu remains focused on delivering the dividends of democracy through infrastructure, economic development, improved public services, and people-centred policies. He described the Governor as a silent achiever whose performance continues to speak louder than criticism, adding that history will remember him as a leader who chose results over rhetoric.
Speaking further, Pastor Bill Francis Bill alleged that many of the negative comments directed at Governor Otu on social media are sponsored by members of the opposition. He expressed confidence that, in his opinion, truth and visible performance would ultimately outweigh political criticism. He prayed that God would vindicate the Governor and frustrate every attempt to undermine the progress of Cross River State. He also expressed his belief that the Governor’s continued delivery of the dividends of democracy would strengthen public confidence in the administration and its governing party, while encouraging citizens to remain united and focused on the state’s development rather than political division.
