ill Francis Bill, SA to His Excellency, Apostle Governor Prince Otu on Community Communications, comes a message of excitement and appreciation as Cross River State continues to record major developments in the aviation sector under the administration of Governor Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu. Following the state’s ongoing efforts to strengthen air transportation and connectivity, Ambassador Pastor Bill Francis Bill expressed his happiness over the reported addition of another aircraft, which he said has been named after Itagiwa. Cross River has previously taken delivery of new aircraft under the Otu administration, while the state government has also reported the procurement of additional CRJ-1000 aircraft for Cally Air.
Speaking on the development, Ambassador Pastor Bill Francis Bill said the aviation investments represent an important step toward improving mobility and connectivity for Cross Riverians, especially as the state continues to position itself as a tourism, investment and business destination. He noted that stronger aviation capacity can make it easier for residents, visitors, investors and businesses to connect Cross River with other parts of Nigeria and, as the state’s aviation infrastructure develops, wider destinations. The Cross River State Government has also described aviation as a key component of its broader strategy for tourism, investment and international connectivity.
Ambassador Pastor Bill Francis Bill further expressed his strong personal appreciation for Governor Otu’s development agenda, declaring that, in his view, the Governor’s administration has brought renewed attention to major sectors of the state, including aviation. He said the acquisition and development of aviation assets should be seen as part of the wider effort to create better opportunities and improve connectivity for the people of Cross River State. With the state also advancing the Obudu International Passenger and Cargo Airport project and working to strengthen existing airport facilities, the administration’s aviation programme continues to attract public attention.
