, the Executive Governor of Cross River State, on Community Communications, I heartily celebrate an exceptional woman of honour, Chief Emmana Duke, on the joyous occasion of her birthday. Today, I celebrate not merely another year in her life but the remarkable legacy of a woman whose political journey reflects dignity, compassion, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to the advancement of humanity. Chief Emmana Duke represents a rare breed of leadership that recognises the importance of creating opportunities for others, empowering the less privileged, and ensuring that the dividends of leadership reach the grassroots. She understands that true greatness is not measured by the positions one occupies but by the lives one positively impacts and the number of people one helps to rise.
One of the remarkable testimonies to Chief Emmana Duke’s grace, reputation, and recognition across cultural boundaries is the chieftaincy honours she has received in Yala, Cross River North, and within the Efik Kingdom South. These traditional recognitions demonstrate the honour and regard she has earned across different communities and underscore the value of building meaningful relationships beyond geographical and cultural boundaries. To me, such recognition reflects the significance of character, goodwill, and service to humanity. Indeed, Chief Emmana Duke is a woman whose grace and influence deserve celebration, and these honours add another remarkable dimension to her public profile.
Since her defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Emmana Duke has continued to demonstrate her political relevance, grassroots appeal, and commitment to progressive ideals. Her presence has contributed to the party’s visibility and grassroots engagement, while her contributions to the development and advancement of her community in Akpabuyo Local Government Area remain worthy of recognition. Her leadership philosophy of carrying people along, building bridges of understanding, and creating pathways for others to succeed distinguishes her as a woman of substance and a dependable political figure. I firmly believe that leaders who place the interests of their people above personal considerations deserve encouragement, honour, and prayers for greater accomplishments.
On this special birthday, I pray that God Almighty will enlarge her coast, preserve her health, renew her strength, and elevate her to greater heights and positions of honour. May God open new doors of favour before her, bless her family, reward her good deeds, and grant her the grace to accomplish even greater things in the years ahead.
